After extensive immersion in jazz studies, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Ananda Vaughan has gone on to incorporate many other World and American styles into his playing. With over 30 years under his belt on guitar, his music proves both versatile and original.  When he’s not on tour with The Polish Ambassador/Wildlight and BrightSide Blue, Ananda works as a guitar teacher, songwriter, and session player in the Nevada City area.  Inspired by a diverse array of artists, such as Pat Metheny, Michael Hedges, David Grisman, and Ali Farka Toure, he combines an uplifting sound with innovative guitar and mandolin work. With strong roots in Jazz, Blues, and Folk traditions, he has created a sound of his own.
